A la Carte Trainings

Full Day All Department Training (8 hours)- This training starts with the Trauma Introduction as a foundation and then expands to include content regarding secondary and vicarious trauma, moral injury, compassion fatigue and burnout. Discussion is provided regarding strategies for creating a safe environment to apply the Emotional Activation Model of Trauma for awareness and means of communication. The audience will be given the opportunity to strengthen their self-awareness and personal resilience skills. 

Half-Day All Department Training- The focus of this training is to provide information about post-traumatic stress injuries and opportunity for a healing journey. The audience will be provided information about the physiological impacts of trauma in the brain and how it can change the way people think and perceive the world. The focus of the training is on providing strategies and skills for coping and healing following difficult experiences.

Upper Management (2-4 hours)- This training provides discussion regarding the impact of various forms of trauma on organizations as a whole. The leadership team is offered a range of strategies to consider and discuss how to address the impact of trauma on their agency. The training includes information regarding leadership styles as well as evidence-based theories of effective leadership.

Middle Management (2-4 hours)- This training provides an overview of the spectrum of trauma. It is recommended that this training be paired with an All Department Training as a means of providing foundational knowledge to the supervisors and to the subordinates. Building on the knowledge of the spectrum of trauma, this training layers on the role of the supervisor in communicating with upper management and providing support to their subordinates. The training includes information regarding leadership styles as well as evidence-based theories of effective leadership.
